Car Wax & Polish
Shop car wax and polish: paste car wax, ceramic-infused carnauba wax, spray wax and hydrophobic paint sealant. Deep gloss, water beading and UV protection.
Which car wax should you buy?
Car wax is a thin, sacrificial layer that sits on top of the clear coat. It deepens gloss, makes water bead and roll off, and takes the sun, dust and bird droppings so the paint does not. Pick by how long you want it to last and how much time you have to apply it.
| Car wax | Type | How you apply it | How long it lasts | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| KKE Auto Wax | Paste car wax polish | Foam pad or DA polisher, buff off in minutes | 4–6 weeks | A classic, deep wax shine |
| CernaGlow | Ceramic-infused carnauba wax (SiO2) | Wax on, wipe off | Longer than a plain carnauba wax | Strong water beading and UV protection |
| KKE Express Wax | Spray car wax | Spray, wipe and buff — no curing time | A top-up layer | Quick shine between full wax jobs |
| KKE Pro Seal | Hydrophobic paint sealant (PTFE + carnauba) | Thin coat by foam applicator, haze 1–2 min, buff | 8–12 weeks | The longest protection; water sheets off |
Car wax vs car polish
A polish (or cutting compound) is abrasive: it levels the clear coat to remove swirl marks, oxidation and light scratches. A wax is not abrasive: it adds a protective, glossy layer on top. If the paint is dull or swirled, polish first with a cutting compound, then wax to lock the finish in. On paint that is already in good shape, a wax alone is enough.
How to wax a car
- Wash with a pH-neutral car wash shampoo and dry the car fully.
- Work in the shade on a cool panel — hot paint flash-dries wax and streaks.
- Apply a thin, even coat one panel at a time. More wax does not mean more protection, only harder buffing.
- Let it haze, then buff off with a clean microfiber towel.
- Between full wax jobs, top up with Express Wax or wash with Wash n Wax.
Car wax FAQ
How often should I wax my car?
With a paste wax such as KKE Auto Wax, every 4–6 weeks. A sealant such as KKE Pro Seal lasts 8–12 weeks. The simplest test: when water stops beading on the bonnet, it is time to re-apply.
Does car wax remove scratches?
No. Wax can hide the very finest marks for a while by filling them, but it does not remove anything. Scratches and swirl marks need a polish or cutting compound, followed by wax.
What is the difference between car wax, paint sealant and ceramic coating?
Wax is mostly natural (carnauba) and gives the warmest gloss but lasts weeks. A paint sealant is synthetic and lasts months. A ceramic coating is a professionally applied, much harder layer that lasts years. A ceramic-infused wax such as CernaGlow sits between wax and sealant.
Can I wax my car in direct sun?
Avoid it. A hot panel dries the wax before you can spread it thinly, which leaves streaks and makes buffing hard. Wax early in the morning, in the evening or in shade.
